More information about the video content bellow: 1. Tonga became known in the West as the Friendly Islands because of the congenial reception accorded to Captain James Cook on his first visit in 1773. He arrived at the time of the ʻinasi festival, the yearly donation of the First Fruits to the Tuʻi Tonga (the islands' paramount chief) and so received an invitation to the festivities. According to the writer William Mariner, the chiefs wanted to kill Cook during the gathering but could not agree on a plan. 2. The primary island, Tongatapu, has a number of tricks up its sleeve, such as the spectacular blowholes along the south western coastline. You’ll find four miles of coast with countless blowholes that can spout water 30 meters high. Go ahead and take bus from Nukualofa towards the village of Houma (Half an hour) and make sure to be there at high tide for any truly spectacular view. 3. The current royal dynasty of Tonga was founded in 1831 by Taufa’ahau Tupou, who took the name George I. He consolidated the kingdom by conquest and in 1875 granted a constitution. Tonga became independent on June 4, 1970. The government is largely controlled by the king, his nominees, and a small group of hereditary nobles. 4. Not much is known before European contact because of the lack of a writing system, but oral history has survived and been recorded after the arrival of the Europeans. By the 12th century, Tongans and the Tongan paramount chief, the Tuʻi Tonga, had a reputation across the central Pacific—from Niue, Samoa, Rotuma, Wallis & Futuna, New Caledonia to Tikopia—leading some historians to speak of a Tuʻi Tonga Empire. 5. Despite being a small country, Tonga has its own army. Furthermore, it participated in WWI, as part of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and in WWII. In recent times, Tongan soldiers were sent to Afghanistan and Iraq and participated in several peace keeping missions. 6. Located in Oceania, Tonga is an archipelago in the South Pacific Ocean, directly south of Samoa and about two-thirds of the way from Hawaii to New Zealand. Its 169 islands, 36 of them inhabited cover an 800-kilometre-long north-south line. The largest island, Tongatapu, is where the capital city of Nukuʻalofa is located. 7. The Free Wesleyan Church is the largest Methodist denomination in Tonga, and also the state church. Everyday life is heavily influenced by Polynesian traditions and especially by the Christian faith; for example, all commerce and entertainment activities cease on Sunday, from the beginning of the day at midnight, to the end of the day at midnight. The constitution declares the Sabbath sacred forever. Hawaii isn't the only series of islands formed from underwater volcanic eruptions. In 2014, a massive eruption formed the new island of Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai. But there's something about this island that has scientists stumped. Watch a brand new island form. You're watching the evolution of a brand new island. Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai formed in 2014 after an underwater volcanic eruption breached the surface. Nearby tourists filmed the huge explosion. Flights had to be diverted around it. When the smoke cleared, a small island was visible. It's located about 400 miles southeast of Fiji in the Pacific.  It's only about a mile long. It was expected to wash away after a few months. Now, three years later, it's still here. These images show how it's been holding up over the years. This is the first time satellites could see an island forming. Scientists still don't know how the island has lasted this long. One theory is that warm seawater interacted with the ash to form a hardier rock surface. Scientists soon hope to run chemical analysis on rock samples. To unlock the secrets of this young, mysterious island. And one it seems was chosen, for the location of a rather amazing ancient structure. One of the most mysterious megalithic monuments in the world, an ancient “trilithon,” known as the “megalithic gate of Ha’amonga.” The mainstream academic explanation for the site is as follows: “Ha’amonga, is a megalithic trilithon that was built in 1200 AD, built by a king of the time, as the entrance to his royal compound, “Heketa.” As with many intriguing and confusing ancient structures upon earth, if you dig further than mainstream attested views, you will often unearth another opinion. Often suggesting a far longer, far more astonishing tale set much farther back within our past… And the Tonga gateway, is no exception... Although mainstream archaeology, through native folklore, and currently accepted, chronological knowledge of the previous inhabitants of the islands, suggests that the Tonga trilithon is but a mere 800 years old… There exists 3 rather large problems with this conclusion... Until of course, erosion inevitably takes hold, drawing a line between a discernible archaeological feature, and an apparent geological one… The Tonga gateway, now consists of three coral limestone slabs, each still weighing in at around 40 tons. 3 rather large elephants in the room for mainstream archaeology… Like with all other trilithon’s, dotted around the world, the documented, primitive capabilities, during modern historical timelines, will continue to demonstrate a lack of credibility to the school taught fanciful tales given for their construction. On the contrary, these sites indicate a once far more capable civilization, left somewhere within earths very distant past. For example, there are many legends linking the Ha’amonga gateway to Maui, as William Corliss astutely put it, “Maui, is but a label, slapped upon everything found within the south pacific which cannot be explained.” End quote. Additionally, to disassemble the phony, public narrative further, Corliss’s own research, other explorers of the island, along with erich von danikens compelling and comprehensive studies of the island, found that islanders, although willing to tell tall tales to tourists, lacked any reasonable replication skills at a later date, put simply, they were lying. Indeed, although they spoke of a king some 800 years ago, the massive stones being a gateway to his “Heketa,” after extensive exploration of the island by many people, especially behind the gateway, which the entire site is seemingly focused in on, no trace of an “Heketa,” has ever been found. Some specialists who have studied the erosion patterns upon the coral stones, have come forward with claims that the Tonga site is a ruin far older than currently thought, and that although the stones are rough in appearance today, they were once much larger and also smoothly cut into squares, using an unknown, ancient technology… This, some claim may have happened as far back as 10, maybe even 100 thousand years ago. Was the Ha’amonga gateway, some form of ancient stargate? Why place it exactly where it is? Why build it exactly how it was built? Who would go through such effort of transporting many 40 ton blocks of coral, to this small island then somehow, constructing this once enormous, and mysterious structure, aligned as a gateway that led to, “nowhere?” Or did it?... http://www.ancient-origins.net/ancient-places-oceania/megalithic-gate-haamonga-maui-001187 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ha%CA%BBamonga_%CA%BBa_Maui

From the Great Blue Hole, to the deepest darkest ocean; These are the 11 SCARIEST Depths of the Ocean ! Learn about the BIGGEST of everything Monday, Wednesday, and Friday just subscribe! # 11 The Great Blue Hole # 10 Hranická Propast # 9 South Sandwich Trench # 8 Puerto Rico Trench # 7 Kermadec Trench # 6 Philippine Trench # 5 Black Hole of Andros Most Black Holes are the ones found in space, but this is the Black Hole of Andros, Bahamas, an abyssal pit right here on Earth. The water in the black hole, of course, looks like a deep lake full of dark black water but it is actually filled with water that is pretty clear. It seems only to be 50 feet deep, but the bottom is not hard rock or sediment but rather a super thick layer of Bacteria. It’s a jelly-like bacteria that is highly toxic and creates a dark purple haze. It is actually 154 feet deep, once you get through all that sludge. # 4 Kuril–Kamchatka Trench The Kuril-Kamchatka Trench is a trench in the northwest Pacific Ocean just off the coast from Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula and stretches down near Japan’s Hokkaido island. Its depth is currently known to be 10,500 miles below sea level. The tectonic plates converge here to create several earthquakes and underwater volcanic eruptions. The trench is characterized by a series of terraces or steps of rock that descend into the deepest valley of the trench. # 3 Tonga Trench The Tonga Trench is the second deepest known part of the world’s oceans at a mind-boggling 35,702 feet or 10,882 meters. For a sense of scale, the tallest skyscraper on Earth is the Burj Khalifa which is only 2,772 feet tall would be fully immersed if it was placed in the Tonga Trench. It is found in the southern Pacific Ocean, east of Australia and New Zealand. Like most of the deepest parts of the ocean, the Tonga Trench is caused by a convergence of tectonic plates, but this fault is also witness to tectonic activity and experiences approximately 350 earthquakes per year. These earthquakes also generate earthquakes. The trench is also so deep light cannot reach the lowest part, leaving it constantly dark and cold - around 1.1 degrees Celsius or 34 degrees Fahrenheit. # 2 Underwater Vortex of Mauritius Aerial images of an island called Mauritius in the Indian Ocean seems to show a scary underwater vortex or submarine waterfall. What actually looks like a deep fall off into the ocean depths is an optical illusion. Runoff of sand and silt deposits flows off of the island in a way that makes it look like the water goes deep into the ocean floor. While it is only an illusion, this image has fooled many into thinking that Mauritius was home to an underwater waterfall that descends into the ocean abyss. # 1 Mariana Trench The absolute deepest known part of the world’s ocean is the Mariana Trench located in the western Pacific Ocean. It’s named after the nearby Mariana Islands. The trench itself is 1,580 miles long and has been found to have a depth of more than 36,000 feet deep. It was once thought that the conditions at these depths of the ocean were too extreme to sustain any life but recent research has since discovered thousands of species living in the deep. The ocean is so deep here because it is the convergent point of two of the earth’s tectonic plates where one of them goes underneath the other and reaches into the Earth’s crust. So, it literally reaches into the Earth’s underworld. With creatures like the Anglerfish and Vent Crab lurking around here, it’s like a real-life underwater nightmare.

Read more: http://www.businessinsider.com/sai

Founded in 1526, a tremendous amount of information regarding this group of warriors has subsequently been unearthed over the centuries. A wealth of archaeological information, which has offered a glimpse far back into our distant past, revealing many things about this ancient people, which for a time, was lost in antiquity. However, although extensive archaeological exploration has unravelled many of the Mughals mysterious existence, there remains a most perplexing enigma. In the 1980s, Smithsonian historian Emilie Savage-Smith, embarked on a journey, to acquire a set of perplexing ancient artefacts, now known as “celestial spheres.” Plotted upon the underside of a dome or a hemispherical screen, the celestial sphere is a practical tool for astronomy even to this day, allowing the observers to plot positions of objects in the sky when distances are unknown or trivial. Most as one would presume, display a primitive understanding of astronomical arrangements, however, some reluctantly revealed to the academic word, and since quietly archived, away from inquisitive souls, have stumped all who have attempted to explain them, based solely upon modern historical conformities. The majority of celestial spheres acquired, can be catalogued as two distinct types; seamed spheres, and there more elaborate, thus greatly more problematic counterparts, seamless spheres. Seamed spheres are, or were, made by moulding two halves of the sphere separately and then soldering them together. The artisans and astronomers would then collaboratively engrave the surface. Seamless spheres, however, are another thing entirely; Up until Savage-Smith made her discovery, it was thought by virtually all within the academic community, including metallurgists the world over, that all examples of hollow metal celestial spheres were of the seamed type. This owing to the long held belief that creating seamless hollow metal spheres was impossible. As it turns out, it isn’t… The most exquisite surviving example of a hollow, seamless celestial sphere, is one that was said to have been made by a Mughal metallurgical master, named Muhammad Salih Tahtawi in 1631. Although conveniently, it is unknown just how he figured out how to make the sphere, or indeed fill it accurately with astronomical information we have only recently confirmed as accurate. It makes one wonder just how did he learn such a technique, if of course it was he who created it… With no evidence to suggest that the Moghuls could have even cast the bronze needed to create the sphere, you have to wonder, Just where did they get this information from? Were the ancient Mughals visited by a race of ancient extra-terrestrial beings? Did they discover a relic, an artefact left by a vastly more ancient lost civilization which they claimed as their own? Unfortunately, the subject of seamless celestial spheres is little known within mainstream antiquity, and as such, in the few places they are discussed, the facts are often distorted or even completely made up. They are most certainly out of place artefacts which some have attempted to brush beneath a rug of convolution, we always perceive this method of concealment to be strong evidence of a conspiracy. Just who could have made the Mughal celestial spheres? And more importantly, how did they make them? Perhaps one day, we will find out the truth. http://www.dailygrail.com/Hidden-History/2014/9/The-Mysterious-Celestial-Spheres-the-Ancient-Mughal-Empire

Here is a list of 7 odd and silly micronations around the world. These tiny independent nations are small countries with their own taxes, society and politics. Check out Sealand, Molossia, Rose Island, the Gay and Lesbian Kingdom, Freetown Christiania, Hutt river and the Republic of Minerva! Republic of Rose Island (1967-68) The Republic of Rose Island was a short-lived micronation 7 miles off the Italian Coast. In 1967, Italian engineer Giorgio Rosa funded the construction of a 4,300 sq ft platform complete with a restaurant, bar, nightclub, souvenir shop, and post office. The goal was to set up a bar and trattoria on the self-built island, and enjoy the views of the Adriatic shipping lanes, sipping a beer as boats sailed by. The Italian government would not approve Rosa's platform and so he declared it an independent state. Shortly after its declaration of independence, the Italian Government was tired of dealing with the issue and sent the Navy to blow up the Republic of Rose Island. 6. Principality of Sealand (1967-present) I mentioned the Principality of Sealand in the video on Fortified Places, but I wanted to share some more information that I found out about this notorious micronation. Located six miles off the eastern shores of Britain, it is one of four Maunsell Naval Sea Forts deployed by Britain during World War 2. During the war, it was home to 150-300 personnel, radar equipment, two 6-inch guns, and two 40mm anti-aircraft autocannons. All on that little platform? Nope, there's all kinds of stuff hiding under the water. After being abandoned by the Royal Navy it remained empty until 1967, when the fort was occupied by Major Paddy Roy Bates, a British subject and pirate radio broadcaster, who got some guns and some ammo to evict some competing radio pirates. He then declared the platform The Principality of Sealand; a sovereign, independent state. He was now the Prince, and he declared his wife the Princess for her birthday. How sweet! I don't know why he didn't just call himself the King. Why Prince? An attorney found a legal loophole allowing Roy to claim the fort due to fact that it was in international waters, and that it was up for grabs. The British Government tried to kick them out but a judge ruled that Sealand was in fact outside of British jurisdiction. But, the Navy did blow up another platform nearby to prevent a similar takeover there. The helicopters that carried the explosives flew over Sealand and the navy boat with the demolition crew passed close by and shouted “You’re next!”. If you thought this was enough drama, just wait. There is actually a Rebel Government of Sealand living in exile led by Alexander Achenbach who declared himself the Prime Minister of Sealand, hired some mercenaries, and kidnapped their son, Michael. The Bates family enlisted armed assistance, including a helicopter pilot who had done some work on James Bond movies, and headed back to Sealand to storm the fortress and take back their country. The intruders quickly surrendered, and were held as prisoners of war. The governments of the Netherlands, Austria and Germany petitioned the British government for their release, but again, the United Kingdom said that Sealand was outside its jurisdiction. Germany then sent a diplomat from its London embassy to Sealand to negotiate for Achenbach's release. Roy Bates relented after several weeks of negotiations and subsequently claimed that the diplomat's visit constituted de facto recognition of Sealand by Germany. Sealand’s official language is English, its currency is the Sealand Dollar, and it has stamps and passports in circulation. You can also buy your own noble title of Lord, Lady, Baron, Baroness and Knight. I don't know if I could pick just one! No smoking or drinking is allowed and you can only take a max of three five-minute showers per week. Its population rarely exceeds five people, and for the sake of security, visitors are unwelcome. Yeah I think I'll just check it out on Google Earth. Recently declassified documents show that the UK drafted plans to take the tower by force over 30 years ago, but such plans were not implemented due to the potential for loss of life, and the public relations disaster that would have followed. 5. Republic of Minerva (1972) The Republic of Minerva was briefly de facto independent in 1972, until it was invaded by Tonga and is now known as the Minerva Reefs. Both the North and South Minerva Reefs are used as anchorages by yachts traveling between New Zealand and Tonga or Fiji.

NASA found a New ALIEN Island created by Itself on Earth . NASA Shows New Tongan Island Made of Tuff Stuff, Likely to Persist Years . In late December 2014, a submarine volcano in the South Pacific Kingdom of Tonga erupted, sending a violent stream of steam, ash and rock into the air. The ash plumes rose as high as 30,000 feet (9 kilometers) into the sky, diverting flights. When the ash finally settled in January 2015, a newborn island with a 400-foot (120-meter) summit nestled between two older islands – visible to satellites in space. The newly formed Tongan island, unofficially known as Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai after its neighbors, was initially projected to last a few months. Now it has a 6- to 30-year lease on life, according to a new NASA study. Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai is the first island of this type to erupt and persist in the modern satellite era, it gives scientists an unprecedented view from space of its early life and evolution. The new study offers insight into its longevity and the erosion that shapes new islands. Understanding these processes could also provide insights into similar features in other parts of the solar system, including Mars. "Volcanic islands are some of the simplest landforms to make," said first author Jim Garvin, chief scientist of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. "Our interest is to calculate how much the 3D landscape changes over time, particularly its volume, which has only been measured a few times at other such islands. It's the first step to understand erosion rates and processes and to decipher why it has persisted longer than most people expected." The Tongan island is the third “surtseyan” volcanic island in the last 150 years to emerge and persist for more than a few months. Surtsey is an island that began forming during a similar kind of explosive, marine eruption off the coast of Iceland in 1963. From the Tongan island’s beginning, it was tracked by monthly, high-resolution satellite observations, both with optical sensors and radar, which sees through clouds. Alerted to the volcanic eruption by NASA's Rapid Response program for the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instruments, Garvin and his colleagues directed satellites to observe the island as soon as the eruption ended. Using this imagery, the research team made three-dimensional maps of the island’s topography and studied its changing coastlines and volume above sea level. The team has calculated two potential scenarios affecting its lifetime. The first is a case of accelerated erosion by wave abrasion, which would destabilize the tuff cone in six to seven years, leaving only a land-bridge between the two adjacent older islands. The second scenario presumes a slower erosion rate, which leaves the tuff cone intact for about 25-30 years. The different scenarios are due to uncertainty in the estimate of the initial volume of the island tuff cone immediately after the eruption and before the first stereo satellite images were acquired at three months. They also reflect the different rates of erosion witnessed in the first six months (accelerated) versus later (more moderate). Their analysis was presented at the American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting in New Orleans on Dec. 11. The most dramatic changes to the island occurred in its first six months. Initially, the new island was relatively oval and attached to its neighboring island to the west. However, by April analysis of satellite imagery found that its shape had changed dramatically. "Those cliffs of volcanic ash are pretty unstable," said remote sensing specialist and NASA Goddard co-author Dan Slayback of the receding cliffs on the southern side of the island. Wave action then redistributed the eroded sediment to form a land bridge to the existing island to the east, he said. In May, the southeastern rim of the interior crater wall was washed over by the Pacific Ocean, opening the crater lake to the ocean. At this point both Garvin and Slayback thought this might be the end of the island. But by June, satellite imagery showed that a sandbar had formed, closing off the crater. While the island continued to evolve, it was more stable by late 2016. Thanks for watching. Subscribe to our channel. Thanks for watching.
